Update: Living a Peaceful Nursing Life in the UK

Relaxing after preparing for OSCE exam.

It has been awhile since I have posted from this website. A lot has happened since the last time I posted. All I can say, I’m all better now since the last time.

Not many of you may have known but I am a doctor in the Philippines. I made a decision to pursue my UK dream because of the seemingly over used reason — mental health.

Currently I work as a community nurse in one of the boroughs of London. I’m actually enjoying the fact that the work is just plain easy but extremely tiring.

Added to this is the fact that you have to walk and meet a lot of patients who, despite the fact are able to do the task by themselves, need us to do it for them. This will definitely have sweet spot for a topic on this website.

My physical activity in the past 7 years has been just way too inactive for me to do this physically demanding current job as a nurse which literally involves too much walking.

But for health reason, I am liking it.

Together with my batch mates having similar roles. We are compelled to like it. lol

It’s not that bad though because I have the option to make my work easier if I could get me self a car, or a motorcycle, or an electric scooter may be?

But because I am new I can’t afford it for now. I still have to adjust financially for all the bills and financial needs of my family back home.

If you are a nurse, dreaming of fulfilling your UK dream of becoming a nurse here, act on it and tick that list of goals one by one. One day you’ll suddenly realize you’ve completed all the requirements needed to come to UK as a registered nurse.

For me, Nursing goals done and aiming for further progression. Along with this milestone, I’m looking forward to achieving my goal to become a doctor here in the UK.
